Hey, it's Classic TV Wednesday! Long time no see, nostalgia fans. This week we're traveling back to 1979 to watch some baseball and some cartoons. Or commercials for them anyway. Enjoy!

Holy crap The Magic Garden! Talk about childhood nostalgia. I need to go fan myself and sit down.
Yeah, I spent some time in a magic garden during the 80's, too.
It needs to be pointed out that if you let that video play out, at the bottom you can select a clip of Burt Reynolds hosting the Tonight Show.
I remember those commercials and that cartoon. catch that pigeon!
I also remember The Honeymooners and The Odd Couple being shown during rain delays.
Nice call on The Magic Garden, Rob
I have vivid memories of watching New Zoo Revue, yet Wikipedia tells me it was off the air by the early 80's, which would mean I was no more than 3 or 4. Up until now, I thought my first memories were from when I was like 12.
Also, "11 Alive" makes me yearn for 5 Alive. Earl, we got any 5 Alive? I'm dyin' out here.
Zoobilie Zoo FTW.
I'm still looking for drugs strong enough to banish these guys from my nightmares:

The New Zoo Revue ran perpetually in syndication, at around 6 in the morning if I recall correctly. YouTube has a great outtake where Freddie the Frog flips out...
