Many gracious thanks to Sooze for her excellent liveglog today. It was a great Thursday thanks to you readers and commenters. Keep contributing the comments, folks. It's what keeps Walkoff Walk scratchin' and survivin'.

Until tomorrow, same WoW channel.

TMZ says he's gone. I haven't been this sad in a very, very long time.

Meh. He was dead to me after "Off The Wall".

Off the Wall doesn't just hold up, it's legendary. If it was released today, it would be talked about like the second coming of Christ.

I'll be interested to see how much of the MJ retrospective over the next few days will have a negative slant.

A young Wahoo spent many a junior high dance rocking out to Off The Wall.

I used to deejay our basement parties in college and would routinely work in all 10 cuts from that record over the course of the evening.

When I say deejay, I mean "play music on our two cd players hooked up to a car amp and a Sony receiver."

My parents still have a video of me singing along to Thriller into an orange, plastic golf club as a little kid. I did the entire Thriller dance with a bunch of tiny Filipinos for my high school Senior year Talent Show (it's funny because I am large, you see).

MJ is playing nonstop in my house tonight.

Do you remember Remember the Time? I should turn this blog into a Michael Jackson tribute tomorrow.

Remember how big of an event his videos were? I remember being in 6th grade the day after Black or White premiered, and that's all we talked about for a good 30 minutes. Keep in mind 30 minutes on 1 subject is absurd for an 11 or 12-year old.

BET is playing an MJ music video marathon.

"Leave Me Alone" on now.

I was just talking about that w/ my girlfriend, who didn't have cable growing up and watched "Black or White" for the first time ever about 30 minutes ago. It does not hold up. At all.

By the way, I firmly believe MJ did not molest children.

Bob Geren did, though. Still does. Quit being such a shitty manager.

Right now on the Limewire library - Man in the Mirror. Jesus Christ. Fucking hits. All the guy did - crank out fucking hits.

By the way, Sooze - I just reread the glog. You make me larf. Good work.

Sorry Matt

Smoltz joins Phil Niekro and Warren Spahn as the only pitchers to spend at least 20 seasons with one franchise before playing a game for another. All three had their two decades of service with the Braves.
